Into The Quiet Light - From the Coastal Light Collection

This artwork is an abstract coastal landscape inspired by the feeling of standing at the edge of the ocean just as the light begins to soften and settle across the water. Layers of luminous turquoise, soft aqua blues, drifting clouds, and expansive sky create a sense of openness, stillness, and emotional calm.

Painted intuitively, this piece explores the quiet space between sea and sky — a place where light feels weightless and time slows down. Hints of earthy shoreline tones beneath the cool ocean blues bring warmth and grounding to the composition, balancing serenity with movement.

Created as part of the Coastal Light Collection, Into the Quiet Light reflects my ongoing connection to the ocean as a place of healing, freedom, and peace. It is a painting about breathing deeply, letting go, and finding beauty in stillness.

Art work is 60cm x 60cm (24 x 24 inches).  Acrylic on a gallery wrapped canvas panel, and professionally framed in a white floater frame - 65 x 65cm (28 x 28 inches) in total.

All original artwork comes with a certificate of authenticity.

Shipping: within the UK is included in the price.  Please allow 7 to 10 days for your artwork, so we can ensure it arrives to you safely.

Returns: Original artwork can be returned (insured) providing it is undamaged and in all of its original packaging.   In the unlikely event your artwork arrives damaged, please take a photo of the damage as soon as reasonably possible and get in touch with us at sam@samtaylorart.co.uk.  Returns are not applicable on sale items.

The materials and process ensure the paper and canvas prints retain their colour and vibrancy for 100+ years.

Finish & Framing

FINE ART CANVAS PRINTS:

Your artwork will arrive at your door ready to hang on the wall, with pre-installed hardware .

No Frame Option: You can choose from a 'no frame option', which is effectively the canvas stretched over the wooden stretcher bars. This option is produced ready to hang.

Framed Option: My floater frames are crafted from poplar hardwood and available in white, oak or black, giving your canvas the appearance of floating within the frame.  This option is also ready to hang.

The slim profile, elegant frame is 1 cm (0.4”) wide from the front and 4 cm (1.6”) deep from the side. The artwork itself is reproduced onto gallery quality matte canvas.

FINE ART PAPER PRINTS:

Unframed paper prints are sent wrapped in tissue, in a postal tube, for you to choose your own frame. All my prints fit standard frame sizes.

Framed prints are available in white, black and oak stain finishes.

Framed prints are protected with a 3mm sheet of acrylic glazing. Please be aware there is a little bit of reflection on the glazing, if you prefer no reflection, please look at my framed canvas prints as they have no glazing.

Your artwork will be meticulously produced and shipped from my nearest fine art printing facility to ensure faster delivery and safer transit. It also helps avoid any customs fees.

About The Artist

My work is about how it feels to be fully alive — the adventures, the quiet moments, the emotions we carry but rarely speak out loud.

I paint from a feeling, not from what I see. Energetic snapshots of moments in life — capturing the spirit of adventure, the warmth of intimacy and the deep stillness that follows a storm. Innate Expressionism, I call it. From storm to stillness.

The materials I work with are as important as the marks I make. Deep, saturated colour. Indelible ink that stains and breathes. Layered textures built up and scraped back with a palette knife. Liquid art that moves and pools in ways I never fully control — and that's exactly how I like it. There's something alive in the not-knowing.

The work is both calming and energising. It speaks to people with a sense of wanderlust — those who feel things deeply, who want their home to feel like an exhale at the end of a long day.
